Carols on Kings 2025
The last event of it's kind was held in 2019. It is now time for one of Caloundra’s most beloved festive traditions to finally make its comeback - and trust us, you’re going to want to be there.
Carols on Kings is returning to the stunning Kings Beach Amphitheatre on Saturday 13 December 2025, and it’s bringing all the festive magic, local talent, and laid-back summer vibes we’ve missed. Think: picnic blankets, fairy lights, food trucks, live music, and Santa himself making a grand entrance. Yep, it’s that kind of wholesome.
Local flavour, community connection and feel-good festive energy is what the event is about. The event kicks off at 4pm (with gates opening at 3pm) with ambient music and picnic areas open for you to settle in and soak up the atmosphere. As the sun sets, the stage lights up with performances from local choirs, dance groups, and musicians - all handpicked to showcase the incredible talent right here on the Sunshine Coast.
Expect everything from a bouncing crowd activation to stunning solos, and a finale that’ll have you singing along to under the stars.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without the big guy. Santa will be making a special appearance around for the kids (and let’s be honest, the adults too). You'll be feeling the festive spirit in full swing.
Come hungry because the food lineup is looking delicious. From pizza and gourmet burgers to sweet treats, there's plenty of local cafes and restaurants around the event zone, and there will be local food trucks at the event too. Local community groups will be popping up with handmade goods, festive gifts.
For the little ones, there’ll be face painting, kids’ activities, and a dance workshop hosted by Sunshine Coast Performing Arts College. It’s all designed to be inclusive, accessible, and full of joy.
The event is co-hosted by the Salvation Army, Meridan Community Church, and the Caloundra Business Alliance with support from local schools, churches, and volunteers. It’s a massive team effort.
