Downunder Beachfest

Downunder Beachfest is a vintage car festival that spans four days, offering a variety of activities. Here's a taste of what you can look forward to at the annual Caloundra event:

Car Cruises
A convoy of stunning classic cars cruising through scenic routes of the Sunshine Coast. It's a sight to behold and a highlight of the event.

Live Entertainment
From rock 'n' roll bands to local tunes - get ready to groove in the street!

Street Parties
The streets of Caloundra come alive with delicious food, live music, merchandise vendors, and, of course, rows of gleaming cars. Wander through the street events, soaking up the festival atmosphere.

Show n Shine events
Car enthusiasts will appreciate the beautiful machines - the car displays at Beachfest is a must-see with over 550 registering for the Caloundra event. You'll find everything from meticulously restored classics to unique custom builds. Registrants come from near and far - with many interstate and international.

Merchandise and Traders
Check out the exclusive Beachfest merchandise and local traders. It's a great opportunity to pick up some unique souvenirs and support local businesses.

Downunder Beachfest gives back to the community. Each year, the event supports local organisations and raises funds for registered charities.

2026 Downunder Beachfest Itinerary

Caloundra celebrates Beachfest 2026 from Wednesday 27 - 31 May. The main Beachfest events (in the Caloundra CBD) are as follows:

Wednesday 27 May 2026 : Beachfest Street Party
Event time: 5pm - 8pm
Road closure: 4.30pm - 10.30pm
Location: Bulcock Street, Caloundra

Friday 29 May 2026: Super Cruise
Event time: 5pm - 8pm
Road closure: A key change to the event - the precinct will include road closures for the SuperCruise route, which are enforced be Queensland Police Services. The event is open to entrants of the Downunder Beachfest event, the general public will not be able to enter their vehicles, however are very welcome to line the streets to spectate as usual.

The single direction course will be directed in a circular fashion via:
The Esplanade
Minchinton Street
Bulcock Street

Event timing: 5pm - 8pm
Road closures will be in place: 4.30pm - 10pm

Saturday 30 May 2026: Car Show n Shine
Road closure: 5am - 4pm
Event timing: 9am - 3pm
Location: Caloundra CBD including Bulcock Street, Esplanade and side streets.

Sunday 31 May 2026: Car Show n Shine
Road Closure: 5.30am - 1.30pm
Event timing: 8am - 12pm
Location: Esplanade and Happy Valley carpark
