Grand Ferris Wheel Visit
Jump on board Australia’s tallest travelling observation wheel for 360-degree views!
Sunshine Coast residents and visitors are on top of the world with Australia’s tallest travelling observation wheel back visiting in Caloundra.
The Skyline Attractions Ferris Wheel is back for the first time in three years and is based at Kings Beach Water Fountain, next to the surf club.
The towering structure is providing spectacular 360-degree views of Caloundra and the hinterland’s mountains from its 35-metre-high peak for 10 weeks through to 21 July 2024.
With 24 gondolas seating up to 144 people and more than 9000 lights, it's a memorable experience to enjoy with family, friends, groups or a special date!
Division 2 Councillor Terry Landsberg is excited to jump on board the awe-inspiring attraction and said he hoped it would help boost business and tourism in the area.
“The relocation from Bulcock Beach to Kings Beach ensures the wheel isn't taking up any car park spaces while also enhancing the accessibility and enjoyment for visitors,” Cr Landsberg said.
“We welcome locals and tourists, and are committed to providing an unforgettable experience in Caloundra.
“While you’re out and about enjoying Caloundra's markets, retail shops and local eateries, why not elevate your experience and enjoy a ride on the Ferris Wheel.”
Tickets are $10 for kids and seniors, $15 for adults or $50 per gondola, which seats up to six people, and are available from https://www.skylineattractions.com.au/
Jane Jones said her team at Skyline Attractions are thrilled to be back in Caloundra.
“We are excited to be back on the Sunshine Coast once again and creating a buzz around town for locals and visitors,” Ms Jones said.
“Working with all the lovely business owners in Caloundra was a highlight of our stay last time and we certainly hope to build on these relationships to celebrate and showcase the town from a different view.”
