Winter Wunderland: Town Glows with Winter Magic
Caloundra’s CBD came alive last Friday night as an estimated 10,000 people flocked to the heart of town for the Winter Wunderland Street Party. The magical celebration transformed Bulcock Street into a frosty, festive wonderland.

Usually a quieter time of year for the coastal town, the event brought a vibrant energy to the streets, with locals and visitors embracing the cooler weather and short-lived Queensland winter.
From 4pm-8pm, the streets were buzzing with live performances, interactive workshops, kids’ activities, and even a touch of [fake but ever so fun] snow. But it was the talent of our local community groups that stole the show.
Highlights included:
- FESTURI Drumming Workshops had the crowd moving to the beat of their own drums to open the event.
- Bland Band were a blast, the high energy rock band from Chancellor State Collage performed their loud tunes.
- Aerial Energy ’s breathtaking aerial silk and lycra performances on Minchinton Street had audiences gripping the edge of their seats and gasping at teh stunts throughout the evening.
- Coastal Caring Clowns brought smiles and laughter as their funny antics took over the top of Bulcock Street.
- Sunshine Coast Performing Arts College brought the sass with their flashmob-style dance performances.
- Spring Drive Band belted out the tunes
- The SJ Dance crew bopped and spun for the cheering audience. SJ Dance is keeping the love of dance alive in every student
- Sunshine Coast Twirling Academy twisted and twirled their LED batons and looked ever so stunning.
- Sunshine Coast Allstars packed a punch with their daring cheerleader stunts
- Sunshine Coast Show Choir entertained audiences with their stunning roving harmonies
- Golden Beach State School Performance Team popped up in their beanies and cute as a button voices performing up and down Bulcock Street.
- The Bells on Main stage held the tunes all evening long with a myriad of performers jumping on the stage including: Bells Jam Group; Uke Group; Caloundra Music Academy: Piano Performance by students James, Catherine, and Elizabeth William and Monica Tanner. Teagan Rowe-Roberts; Caloundra Music Academy: Vocalist Chloe B. (Bishop) accompanied by K. Kelley; Caloundra Music Academy: Gypsie Fire - Violin Piano - Imre Szabo - Kenneth Kelley.
- Ninfa brought her Winter outfit, LED performances and included fire in her travels around the event zone.
- The feiry finale was a fun collaboration of drums and fire with the Toria Mason & Burning Fire band

The event featured free craft stations where kids created Sparkling Snowflake and Snowman craft souvenirs to remember the evening by. Free face painting, kids’ rides, a winter market, and delicious food from local foodies, added to the fun all ages evening.
A huge thank you to the team that made the event possible - from the Caloundra Market team, our volunteers, retailers opening late, stallholders, foodies, our performers, and the huge audience that came out in droves to attend the event. It was a fun evening, with lots of fun had by all.
Save the dates, performer and stallholder EOI's are now open for the Caloundra Christmas Street Party. Don't miss another fun Caloundra event!
