Library+ Project Brings Updated Parking from 1 July

As part of the ongoing transformation of the Caloundra administration building into a state-of-the-art district library and customer service centre, updated parking restrictions will take effect from 1 July 2025 at the Nutley Street and Otranto Avenue car parks, as well as on Omrah Avenue in Caloundra.

  • Nutley Street car park: 64 parking spaces with 15 two-hour (2P) and 49 three-hour (3P) restrictions, from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Otranto Avenue car park (Caloundra Regional Gallery): 19 two-hour (2P) parking spaces, effective from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday, along with five accessible parking spaces, and four Council vehicle parking spaces.
  • Omrah Avenue (between Nutley Street and Minchinton Street): seven five-minute zones will be introduced on-street, effective from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday. The southern end of the street will continue to have on-street two-hour (2P) paid parking restrictions from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to noon on Saturday. The two on-street accessible parking spaces will remain.

The new Library+ Caloundra is anticipated to be open in the coming months.

These changes aim to manage vehicle turnover, benefiting users of the new facility and shoppers at local businesses.

Meter revenue funds various projects in downtown Caloundra, including street activation, public facilities and business support programs.

To inform and educate our community about upcoming changes, Council will conduct a two-week educational period in the Caloundra CBD from July 1.

During this period, caution notices will be issued to help residents and visitors adjust to the new regulations.
