Your NYE Plans: Kings Beach Fiesta
Ring in the new year at Caloundra’s stunning beachside setting with an abundance of fun for everyone from a movie under the stars, rides, delicious food and spectacular fireworks.
King Beach Amphitheatre will transform into a vibrant hub of activity this New Year’s Eve with plenty for everyone to enjoy including a screening of musical drama Sing, rides, delicious food and spectacular fireworks.
The event, proudly hosted by the Sunshine Coast Official Food Truck Association (SCOFTA) and the Sunshine Coast Council will start at 4pm and conclude at 10pm.
Sunshine Coast Division 2 Councillor Terry Landsberg shared his excitement about the event.
"Caloundra's New Year's Eve celebration is a fantastic family friendly event.
“It's a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy great food, watch a spectacular firework show and create lasting memories,” said Cr Landsberg.
Foodie highlights
This event celebrates the vibrant food truck culture that SCOFTA champions, bringing diverse and delicious cuisine to the Sunshine Coast community.
Experience the incredible array of food trucks showcasing local street food from gourmet burgers to exotic Asian delights, there's something to satisfy every palate.
Family activities
For the little ones, there will be kids rides and face painting, ensuring they have a blast while you relax and soak in the festive atmosphere.
As the sun sets, grab a spot on the grass for a movie under the stars. It's the perfect opportunity for a family picnic, so pack your blankets and settle in for a cozy evening.
Fireworks display
Watch the sky light up in a dazzling array of colours at 9.30pm, marking the end of 2024 and the beginning of a new year.
The event wraps up at 10pm, giving you plenty of time to head home and continue the celebrations.
