90 Years: Henzells' Legacy in Caloundra
Caloundra, our gem on the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, is full of vibrancy and charm, and has a rich history. Henzells Agency, celebrating 90 years, has been a cornerstone in shaping our beautiful town.

When Henzells first opened in 1935, Caloundra was a small community. Fast forward to today, and it's a bustling beachside haven. The transformation began with the Bulcock family's purchase of 300 acres in the late 1800s, setting the stage for what would become a highly sought-after residential destination and top spot for visitors.
In 1946, Roy Henzell Sr. bought 810 hectares of coastal land, which would later evolve into the master-planned Pelican Waters community. This visionary move laid the groundwork for Caloundra's growth, introducing canal-based residential living and other innovative developments.

Henzells has been instrumental in creating and influencing our suburbs such as Aroona, Ridgehaven, Currimundi, Golden Beach, and Pelican Waters. Their contributions go beyond real estate, with projects like the Greg Norman-designed golf course and luxury hotel, a major shopping center, a waterfront tavern, and a new marina precinct.
It hasn't just been about the buildings. Henzells has donated land for sporting clubs and schools, established parks, built bridges, canals, and lakes, and raised significant funds for local charities and sporting groups. The Henzell family and their partners have been active community members, serving on councils and committees, and leading various organisations.
The legacy of Henzells is not just in the structures they've built but in the community they've nurtured. Their dedicated staff, continue to uphold the company's reputation and integrity as they look to the future.
Caloundra is more than just a place to live; it's a community with a rich history and a bright future, thanks in no small part to the vision and dedication of Henzells Agency.
