Caloundra French Film Festival

Our recent Summer French Festival was all the leftovers and discoveries from last year and showed how good French seconds are. The 2026 French Film Festival that begins here April 21st with the stunning Jean ValJean and runs for 8 weeks will show just how good French firsts are!

It's the most popular Festival of the year and all the films and a new Festival Pass is available which some early birds have already snapped up.

One film Colours Of Time already has encore screenings and we haven't even started yet. But the whole lineup is superb: The Richest Woman In The World is based an incredible true story as is The Great Arch. There is a new Maigret which is French film making at its finest. One of our favourite directors Francois Ozon is back with The Stranger and What Is Love and The Son Of are two unmissable and very clever French comedies. Couture is amazing and filming was allowed in the one of finest ateliers in the world. For the 1st time.

Passes are the best way to experience the best of the Festival. There is the option of screenings on Tue nights or Sunday mornings. Concession tickets are limited and designed for people who have to look at where every penny is being spent--not for people who travel overseas and live the high life. If you can afford full price, pay full price. It's cheaper than city prices anyway. Having this Festival in Caloundra is in itself amazing, Make the most of it and support it if you can.
