Winter Wunderland 2026: Performance times

A fun evening filled with street performances, kids rides, interactive activities, face painting, a winter market, local cuisine, and the rare opportunity to experience [fake] snow in our beachside town is upon us from 4pm Friday 26 June 2026! This street stopping event is free for all, from the young to the young at heart.

Our playground by the sea usually endures a short lived winter, the perfect opportunity to embrace the magic of a Winter Wunderland! Keep reading to see how the event will unfold, it's jam packed with fun!👇

Get hands on with a FESTURI Drumming Workshop in Bulcock Street, Caloundra!
The team at FESTURI bring together people to celebrate and value cultural and linguistic diversity by encouraging the participation of the whole community in FESTURI festivals and events.
You'll be popping to the beat with the opportunity to join one of three drumming workshops at Winter Wunderland.
FESTURI will be bringing laughter, joy, movement & rhythm to our main street.
TIP: Arrive early for your spot in the workshop.

Aerial Energy - dedicated to 'transcending the ordinary’ by providing unique and exciting opportunities for students that go beyond studio training and into the world of performance, competitions and events.
Whether you are an adrenaline buff, a circus arts enthusiast, or someone seeking fitness and wellbeing in a warm community, Aerial Energy is your go to.
We can't wait to see the team twirled up in silk, and graciously spinning back down to the ground at Winter Wunderland. Don't miss the daring aerial silk, hammock, rope, and lyra displays.

Face Painting: Your little ones' faces will light up with joy as they transform into their favorite Winter Wunderland characters. A family selfie will be called for! Our artists for the evening will be painting little faces to their hearts content. Kids will enjoy the face painting, which is free at Winter Wunderland.

Craft: Take your own winter craft souvenir home from Winter Wunderland!
Your littlies can enjoy free crafty fun, creating some special little treasures to remember our fun event through. The workshops are recommended for ages 5-12 and are located in Felicity Park.
When: 4pm - 6.30pm

Snow: It's not something we normally see on the Sunshine Coast, however at our special Winter Wunderland event you are guaranteed to see [fake] snow!!
Snow will be falling throughout the event timing.
You can witness a light fluttering of snow and bubbles throughout the event.

Free Kids Ride: Kids can ride the ever popular Tea Cup Ride. Enjoy the experience with your children at Winter Wunderland, kids rides are completely FREE.
Tip: Arrive early to avoid the queue.

Feel the pulse, hear the thunder - Byron Taiko is set to shake Winter Wunderland to its snowy core. Fusing traditional Japanese drumming with high energy performance, this powerhouse ensemble delivers a rhythm you don’t just hear - you'll feel it. With each strike, they build an electrifying soundscape that’s raw, hypnotic, and impossible to ignore - setting the stage for a finale you can't miss.
Byron Taiko joins forces with Matstafa and his team of fire twirlers in a blazing collision of rhythm and flame. Expect a spectacular fusion of pounding drums, choreographed movement, and swirling firelight that will ignite the night sky and leave crowds buzzing long after the final beat. It’s bold, it’s breathtaking, and it’s the ultimate Winter Wunderland moment you won’t want to miss.

Not only will you be enchanted by the festive atmosphere and exciting activities, but you'll have the opportunity to enjoy Late Night Retail along the vibrant Bulcock Street shopping strip.
Take advantage of the opportunity to explore unique local shops and find perfect winter gifts or treats for loved ones. Take some 'me' time while the family are immersed in the magic of Winter Wunderland. Stop by the likes of Rayanna, Candytree, The Reject Shop and Belle Le Chic.

Get ready to witness the electrifying and jaw-dropping performances of the Sunshine Coast Performing Arts College dance group! We're thrilled to announce the inclusion of these energetic kids, performing fun flash mob dances at the event. Their performances are a delightful fusion of colors, music, and movements. With their precision choreography and energetic routines, this incredible dance group will take your breath away and have you dancing from your vantage point. SCPAC offer Dance, Drama, Vocal, Acrobatic & Aerial classes for students as young as 18 months old. Catering to the recreational student, through to those who are looking for a career in the Performing Arts. Check out more about their amazing talents here.

Get ready to laugh, and cheer with the Coastal Caring Clowns! We're thrilled to announce the inclusion of this amazing volunteer group in our lineup of exciting performers. These talented individuals strive to bring joy, laughter, and comfort to not only children but to adults as well, and they're sure to put on an unforgettable show. With hilarious skits, crowd interaction, and sing-alongs, the Coastal Caring Clowns will have you smiling from ear to ear. Check out more about their incredible work and mission here.

DJ Duzza - The energetic Levi Durran is a Sunshine Coast local bringing his beats and vibrant attitude to the event. At just 15yo he has already performed over 75 gigs, produces his own music and plays festivals, sporting events and community gatherings.

Sunshine Coast Show Choir - a wonderful group of auditioned singers roving with their vibrant performances of singing and dancing.
Led by Choir Director Jen, the group perform songs from all sorts of genres such as rock, pop, jazz, musical theatre, soul, disco, country, and more!
