Hope Dreaming Centre Opens: Culture at Caloundra’s Gateway

As you cruise down Caloundra Road on your way into town, a fresh and inspiring sight now greets you on the left. The long-vacant Information Centre has been reborn as The Hope Dreaming Centre, opening its doors to the public from 11am on 17 June 2025.

A bold new chapter for Caloundra’s cultural and community landscape begins.

Thanks to the passionate efforts of Tribal Link, the centre has undergone a stunning transformation. What was once a quiet, unused space is now a vibrant hub of First Nations culture, creativity, and connection. The building has been lovingly refreshed with a new coat of paint, striking decals featuring First Nations artwork, and a dedicated gallery space showcasing the powerful Saltwater Dreaming collection by Aunty Hope.

The official opening will take place from 11am on Tuesday, 17 June, visitors will be treated to:

  • Traditional First Nations dance performances
  • A welcome and opening address by the local divisional councillor
  • Free canapés and a grazing board featuring native flavours

Positioned perfectly at the gateway to Caloundra, The Hope Dreaming Centre is now the ideal first stop for visitors and locals alike. Local advice, cultural experiences, and a delicious bite to eat, the centre is worth the stop.

The newly installed permanent food truck is already turning heads with its bush tucker-infused menu. Highlights include:

  • Lemon Myrtle Fish and Chips
  • Homemade Granola with Davidson Plum
  • Aussie Beef Burger with Finger Lime Mayo
  • Smoked Chicken Wraps with Bush Spices

It’s a culinary experience that celebrates native ingredients and local innovation.
